Punta del Este, Uruguay (Feb 2025): <\/strong>Our estemmed BPS member from Malaysia, William Wang, has once again achieved a remarkable milestone by winning the Large Gold Medal<\/strong> and the Special Prize <\/strong>at the prestigious Uruguay 2025 World Stamp Exhibition<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition is a Specialised World Stamp Exhibition held under the patronage of FIP, organized by the Federaci\u00f3n Uruguaya de Filatelia (FUF) to commemorate Uruguay\u2019s bicentennial independence celebration. It is proudly sponsored by the Uruguayan Postal Service and supported by the Philatelic Circle of Montevideo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

William’s exhibit, titled \u201cThe Postal History of Labuan & North Borneo Before & Under Chartered Company Rule\u201d<\/em>, captivated the judges and attendees alike. Approximately 1000 frames were exhibited in Traditional Philately, Postal History, Postal Stationery, Aerophilately, Thematic Philately and Open Philately. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the only Malaysian representative at the event, William brought pride to his country with his outstanding achievement, while also highlighting its vibrant philatelic heritage, particularly that of North Borneo and Labuan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
