Tiverton Hotel & Lounge, Devon.
The Boneo Philatelic Society’s spring meeting took place between 10-12 April at the Tiverton Hotel, Devon. With some 25 members, partners, and guests in attendance, this year saw a great attendance, yet again. For the first time, we were joined by Mark McShane and his wife.
The program commenced with an introduction by the president, Malcolm Gascoyne, followed by presentations on new acquisitions and discoveries by members.

Simon’s Presentation on Sarawak 1899 De La Rue & Provisionals.
After this, two presentations were given by fellow members. Simon Martin-Redman shared a detailed look at Sarawak 1899 De La Rue and provisionals, followed by Richard Curie’s ‘Entries for the Sarawak QE II issue’.
After the presentations, members enjoyed a lively auction viewing session. The evening wrapped up with a relaxed dinner, a perfect chance for everyone to catch up and share stories over good food.
Auction Day
After an additional viewing time, the auction kicked off at 10 am. Due to some technical problems, the realisation and unsold lists were delayed, but they can now be accessed here.

Auction
Following the auction, attention shifted to two engaging presentations. First, Claire Scott took the stage to speak on Brunei: The 1922 MBE Issue & Printed Paper Rates, a topic rarely covered in our Society’s meeting. Next, Shiv presented his captivating Sarawak display on ‘The last white Rajah: The issues of Charles Vyner Brooke 1918-46’, which had previously earned him a Gold Medal at the 2025 Europhilex, Birmingham.
