The Borneo Philatelic Society welcomes applications for membership.


Benefits of being a member

    • Members of the BPS are provided with The Sarawak Journal, featuring articles and original research contributed by members globally. The journal is published quarterly. 
    • The Society holds its auction biannually. With only 5% buyer’s commission, it is very low compared to many commercial auctions. Only members are allowed to participate in the Society’s auction and buy unsold lots. 
    • Connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for stamp collecting. Exchange ideas, knowledge, and experiences with fellow enthusiasts.
    • Gain access to our specialised library, archives, and reference materials that may not be readily available elsewhere. 
    • Showcase your collection, receive feedback from fellow members. 

How to Apply

1. Applicants may quote as referees:-

  • Present members of the Borneo Philatelic Society (formerly SSS) or the Malaya Study Group (MSG).
  • Membership of national or specialist Philatelic Societies (e.g. RPSL, APS, MSG etc)
  • Named officers of local philatelic societies
  • Bankers, employers or professional associations

2. Annual subscriptions are due on 1st July each year. The subscription for members elected after 1st April remains valid until 30th June the following year. The current rate of subscription for all members both within the UK and overseas is £25.00 but shall be reduced to £20 if paid before 30th September each year. New members pay £20 in their first year. See payment details below.

3. All members are eligible to receive both the journal and auction catalogues. These are sent by airmail to adresses outside the UK.

Please Note:

(a) On joining the Society your name and country will be published in our journal. Your data will be kept securely and only used to supply you with member services. It will not be supplied to third parties.

(b) Information from the application form will be held on a computer data file which is essential to the operation of the Society. Access is limited to the officers of the Society and personal information will not be disclosed to third parties.


Payment

Current rate of subscription for all members both within the U.K. and overseas is £25.00 but shall be reduced to £20 if paid before 30 September.

For members paying by Paypal, the subscription is £27.00 but shall be reduced to £22 if paid before 30 September. The £2 extra charges are used to cover the Paypal fees. Please transfer funds to payment@b-p-s.org.uk

Cheques should be payable to ‘Borneo Philatelic Society‘. Foreign drafts are not accepted.
